🥂After 15 memorable years, Contemporary Melting-Pot & Bar (CM-PB) is bidding farewell to Dempsey, which has been our home and central to our identity and success. Established as a tribute to the area’s rich history as the Central Manpower Base (CMPB) and embracing the vibrant spirit of Dempsey, CM-PB has become more than just a dining destination.

From the moment we opened our doors, CM-PB was designed to be a playful nod to the past. Our name, inspired by the historical CMPB, symbolises our deep connection to the area and our role in bringing together diverse flavours, experiences, and people. CM-PB has become synonymous with Dempsey, reflecting the rich cultural tapestry of Singapore.

Dempsey has always been a special place for us. While our roots are deeply entwined here, we face the reality that moving the CM-PB brand beyond its birthplace is not an option. Our name and our legacy are inseparable from the rich tapestry of Dempsey, and we honour that connection by closing our doors at this location. The closure is driven by circumstances beyond our control rather than a voluntary decision to leave, as we were compelled to vacate our premises under unforeseen pressures.

However, our journey doesn’t end here. We remain hopeful that, in the future, there may be an opportunity to bring the Contemporary Melting-Pot & Bar experience to a new location that resonates with the same spirit and vibrancy. Until then, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been part of our story; our loyal patrons, dedicated staff, supportive partners and suppliers. 🙏
